Перший фестиваль «Коване серце України», що розгорнувся у Рівненському парку культури і відпочинку ім. Т. Шевченка 24-26 серпня 2012 року на святкування Дня Незалежності України та дня заснування міста, зібрав близько 60 майстрів кованого металу.

Три роки господиня фестивалю, пані Ніна Крока (ПП «Рівнебудпостач»), плекала надію поділитися красою художнього кування із рівнянами та гостями міста. Так, із щирого бажання, народився потужний мистецький рух, який щороку приваблює тисячі відвідувачів.

Автором першої композиції «Металеве Серце» виступив художник-коваль Роман Велігурський. В основу твору покладене об’ємне серце та стилізовані елементи української флористики, поєднані та встановлені на обрізній колоні. Згодом була додана горизонтальна лінія по типу гердани, на якій розташувалися сердечка ковалів, зроблені під час фестивалю. Чимало зусиль до створення колективної скульптури додали вихованці Рівненської державної служби зайнятості, на чолі із викладачем Сергієм Торулею.

З першого року, захід став міжнародним, завдяки участі голландського коваля Хууба Сенсена та його студента Еда Меенса. Ковальське дійство настільки привернуло їхні серця, що гості залишили на зберігання у Рівному прапор рідної країни. Як виявилося – слушно, оскільки Хууб став постійним наставником фестивалю.

Перший ковальський вогник у горні розпалювався за старовинним ковальським способом, а вже за декілька хвилин у горнах майстрів палав вогонь, а над містом лунав передзвін ковальських молотків.

FROM A SINCERE HEART

The first festival “Kovane sertse Ukrainy” (Forged heart of Ukraine) took place since 24th to 26th of August in Rivne’s park of culture and relax, named after T. Shevchenko. There were festivities of the Independent Day of Ukraine and the Day of city’s anniversary during this time, so nearly 60 masters of forged metal participated in the event. Within three years, the hostess of the festival, Mrs. Nina Kroka (PE “Rivnebudpostach”) was cherishing the hope to share the beauty of art forging with the habitants of Rivne and its gests. In such way, the sincere desire generated the powerful artistic movement, which every year attracts thousands of visitors.

The author of the first composition “Forged Heart” was artist-blacksmith Roman Veligurskyi. They clearly trace the volume heart with the stylized fl ourish Ukrainian elements in the plot of the creation. All parts are joined and placed on the edged column. Later on, they installed a horizontal line as gerdan, where the forged hearts, made during the festival’s days were placed. The students of Rivne State service of employment with a leader teacher Sergyi Torulya contributed a lot for the creation of the collective sculpture.

From the first year, the event obtained the status of international, thanks to the participation of Holland blacksmith Huub Sensen and his student Ed Meense. Blacksmithing festival attracted so deeply their hearts that the hosts  left in Rivne the flag of their native country to keep. It turned out to be really in good time, as Huub became the constant preceptor of the festival.

They lighted the first blacksmithing fi re in the oven according an old traditional method. Several minutes later the ovens of all smiths reddened and the sound of hammers’ work fi lled the city.
